Who Are We Anyway?

Who Are We Anyway?

I started this company with a good friend of mine. We both grew up in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As a teenager, I lived one of the most important summers of my life in these mountains. I survived sleeping on the ground, living, eating, and drinking out of these woods as a member of The North Carolina Outward Bound School. A program that would shape me forever and change the way I thought about myself and everything around me. These mountains taught me some of the greatest lessons in life and I work hard everyday to remember them.

Well, first off, I'd like to say welcome to our page/site/blog, or whatever medium you have found us through. All of these things always start the same don't they? You have a business? You need a blog. Well, here I am.

As an adult (questionable) I took the skills I acquired here and applied them to my life long dream. I wanted to be a rocker, a dude in a band. For the better part of 20 years, that's exactly what I did, against all odds as they say, and thanks to some incredibly supportive family and friends, I saw that dream become a reality. Later, however, I found myself thinking often of my time here, in these mountains, and I wanted to get back.

Flash-forward to a year that most of us would like to forget - 2020. I was a new father and the global pandemic put me at a crossroads. Without hesitation I took the road that lead me home - to the blue ridge. Equipped with the skills I learned marketing myself and my craft as a musician and now as a digital marketing executive, I am here chasing a different dream, one that I hope you join me on as we #exploretheblueridge in some sweet new threads.

So give us a follow, and let us know what you think, even if it's not in our gear, we want to hear your stories about your time in this wonderful place.
